Do you ever have a lazy day during the week when you know you need to look presentable, but you do not want to put in the effort of coordinating the perfect ensemble? Are there days where a pencil skirt is just too tight, or your silk blouse and black cigarette pants are not cutting it? Sometimes, it can be difficult to dress for the office. I happen to be blessed to work in an environment where nearly anything goes (as long as it is not too revealing, of course). However, many people do not have the leisure of wearing leggings and a tunic to work everyday. If you are anything like me, you never know when you may be heading to Happy Hour with your girls or dinner with a hot date. Since I am always making plans last minute, I tend to wear looks to work that I can transition from day to night.
I have spoken to y’all before about how I love a good graphic tee. I love tees that speak my mind, or express my personality. Nothing says Victoria like a t-shirt that says, “T-Shirt, Jeans, & Diamonds.” You can snag this Chaser tee from kiki nass in Austin by clicking here. Although I love my graphic tees, they are not always office appropriate. Come to think of it, graphic tees should typically be avoided at all costs for the office. However, there is one exception to this rule: when you have a killer sport coat or blazer to wear over it!
In order to pull off a graphic tee in the office simply pair your tee with dark denim, a statement necklace, and your rockin’ blazer. I fell completely in love with this IKKS knit sport jacket from kiki nass. Now, you may be wondering, what makes this sport jacket so killer? Well babes, it is all in the detail.
First off, when shopping for a blazer or sport jacket it is all about the fit. As you can see in the photos, this jacket is slightly cropped and tucks in at the waist, making it ultra flattering. Second, it has an athletic and sporty vibe due to the neck and waistband, but also a chic and sophisticated look. Because this jacket has both elements of sporty and chic, it makes it simple to dress down with jeans or dress up with nice trousers.
As I had mentioned, it is all in the details. Take a gander at the chain embellishment around the neck, and that elegant slip pocket. Can you say swoon? Oh, and the button! I freaking love the button on this jacket! It is a simple, round silver button, that happens to be the perfect size so it is noticeable, but does not take away from the entire look/feel of the jacket. Looking at this jacket, I feel the style combines some classic elements of your favorite blazer, with a sporty twist inspired by a letterman jacket. This jacket is great for the office, or to wear for a night out on town. I’m thinking your should pair this jacket with a sexy mini dress and stilettos for a night out.
As the clock strikes 5pm, Happy Hour is calling your name. Take off your sleek sport jacket and rock your graphic tee and statement necklace to set a casual vibe. An off-duty outfit change has never been so simple. Take your look to the next level by slipping on some sexy stilettos or pumps.
